The rich and famous can afford to install all the latest security measures, and yet burglaries are still more common in Hollywood than you might think.
It can be even harder to ensure the safety of such high-profile targets when they travel abroad, as was the case for Kim Kardashian when she went to Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
The most recent victims of such a crime are David and Victoria Beckham. The couple was at home in their London mansion with their daughter Harper, 10, on the night of February 28 when the burglary occurred.
Police reports say that their home was invaded between 22:30 and 23:30 that night and that a number of items were taken, but no one was harmed. No arrests were made at the time and the investigation is ongoing. None of the Beckhams have commented on the incident as of yet, instead focusing their public communications on the crisis in Ukraine.

Kim Kardashian
More than five years after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room, French officials took 12 people to trial for the crime.
The defendants, accused of stealing nearly US$10 million worth of jewelry, are being charged with robbery with a weapon committed in an organized gang, kidnapping and forcible confinement, or criminal association. Prosecutors have not yet revealed their identities or confirmed who will be charged with what crime.
