Have you for once thought of how old your favourite musician is? We sometimes tend to focus solely on their music and feel they are forever young but just as any human in the world, they are continually growing each and every day but sometimes their childish actions makes one wonder whether these guys think they are still children.

It appears what is now common among most Ghanaian musicians off late are what we mostly call beefs. And the funny thing is that these rivalries they cook up aren’t healthy at all as they are mostly filled up with insults.

But our attention today isn’t on beefs but for us to have a look at how your favourite musician is.

Let move back to business as usual;

Sarkodie- 35 Years

He is basically most likely to be favourite of many Ghanaians as the award winning musician is most loved by most Ghanaians. He burst into the music scene a decade ago and it apepears he isnt stopping anytime soon.

He even won the artiste of decade of at the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and this goes on to confirm the fact he is no small boy when it comes to the music industry and in age as well.

He is 35 years now and is most likely to be 36 on July 10. This goes on to confirm the fact that he was born on July, 10 1985.

Shatta Wale-36 years

Before Shatta Wale there was Bandana. He has been active in the entertainment industry for only God knows when. The self acclaimed dancehall king in the whole Ghana is 36 years old.

I am sure some may be doubting that but that’s the reality on the ground as he was born on October 17, 1984. The Ghetto president is still in his mid-thirties and not an old man as many has been speculating.

Efya-33 Years

She is basically the king when it comes to all female musicians. She is more of an old wine, she gets better with age. S he has been around for a really long time as well and seem to have paid her dues in Ghanas entertainment industry.

Many have branded her as old but it appears her voice is what has on our radios for long. The talented songstress was born on April 10, 1987, and will be 34 years this year.

I do believe there is certainly more to be expected from her as she is still in her prime and still relevant in the music industry.

Wendy Shay-25 Years

Another beautiful songstress who seems to have won the heart of many Ghanaians and seems to be the favourite of many is next our list.

She seems to have done the taking over from Ebony very well as Wendy Shay is now a major household name.

Born on February 10, 1996, the 25-year-old recently celebrated her birth and with the likes of Bulldog managing her, it appears she is going to be in the entertainment industry for a really long time.

Kuami Eugene-24 Years

The reigning artiste in Ghana is still in his early twenties. He was born on February 1, 1997.

He is certainly living up to expectations with major artists begging him for collaborations as any song he gets features on tend to receive the needed attention. The song tends to get the needed major airplay.

He was recently in the news after buying the latest Rolls Royce valued at more than $400,000 and that was a major deal in the country concerning his age.

Okyeame Kwame-44 years

Another old wine who always get better with time and doesnt seem to be going away anytime soon is that of Okyeame Kwame.

Born on April 17, 1976, the rap doctor still continues to do what he does best as his latest song Yeeko which featured Kuami Eugene has garnered over a million views on Youtube in less than a month and this goes on to prove he is still the peoples favourite.

Kidi-27 years

Another Lynx Entertainment signee who seems to be the favourite of many Ghanaians especially when it comes to the ladies is in his late twenties.

Kidi is exactly 27 years now as he was born on August 18, 1993. The Spiritual-hitmaker will be 28 years this year.

Medikal(El Chairmano)-27 years

He is basically the reigning best rapper in the country now. The El Chairmano is 27 years now and he is seen by many to be bragging a lot when it comes to his rap but I do believe that’s normal. Bragging and rap certainly go hand in hand.

Mr. Frimpong- as he is legally married and so needs to be addressed as such was born on April 4, 1994.

His songs seem to be getting lots and lots of airplay and he is going to be a major force to reckon with when it comes to the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Strongman-28 Years

It appears arguably the best rapper in Kumerica and Wendy Shay both share the same date of birth; February 10.

Strongman was born on exactly February 10, 1993 and burst into the music scene in 2012 during the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing Ghana.

Teephlow-29 Years

Aye ready? He is basically my personal favourite when it comes to musicians in Ghana. He is very good with wordplay and it appears the Fante rap king is 29 years and will be 30 on June, 20 as he was born on exactly June, 20, 1991.

Stonebwoy-32 Years

The list won’t certainly be complete without the Ayigbe mafia; Stonebwoy. He was born on exactly March 5, 1988.

Therefore is most certainly going to be 33 years this and it appears the BET award winner isn’t ready in applying the brakes now as he continues to be channeling out some good music claiming to be 1GAD.

Samini-39 Years

The Linda hitmaker is the people’s favorite as well as he has been there for a very long time. His recent affiliation with the NPP made some of his fans talking but it appears the bills must be paid.

Emmanuel Samini was born on December 22, 1981 meaning he is going to hit 40 before the year ends.
